Bill will be missed

I am so sorry to hear of Bill’s death. He was always a very special person to me and I always looked forward to seeing him. I loved his stories and the time I got to spend with him. I only heard of his death today but my thoughts and prayers are with the family. I know that Van was fond of
Bill and always enjoyed their time together. I hope they have met up and are catching up once again. Bill will be missed.

My big brother Bill

I miss my big brother and best friend.
I miss the phone calls each week were we fixed the world’s problems.
I miss the stories he told me.
Bill told me years ago to WORK HARD AND PLAY HARDER
and we did just that.
I have 70 years of stories; so we’ll need more than “2 beers”
I miss you big brother.

I was introduced to Bill about 35 years ago. Gene Carlson and I partnered with him to buy a building in downtown Olympia. Bills business mind and Handyman qualities made him the perfect real estate partner. The building kept us in contact over the years and I always looked forward to seeing his smiling face come into the office..
He was a big part of my life and I will miss him dearly.

re: Bill’s Hill and gravy

I loved the trails on the hill Years ago, we planted some crocus-I wonder if any are still coming up. We also stuck a homemade sign labeling the hill as Bill’s Hill-maybe we could freshen the sign? Also the urban myth that Dene made gravy EVERY night for Bill is a true testament of love. I’m sure David and Bill are swapping stories about the crab killer and the rest of the Thompson’s are missing him a lot.
